Stockholms Auktionsverk continues to grow

We are happy to welcome antiques specialist Henrik Birkeland Åberg to our team!

Henrik Birkeland Åberg has worked in the auction business since 1996, of which 24 years at the Auction House Bukowski’s. After completing his Master’s degree in art history, he became an assistant and later a specialist and head of the European Furniture and Works of Art department. Henriks interest in Works of Art reaches from the Baroque period to the Empire.

“Catalogued auctions are an unbeatable way to convey and bring forward our cultural heritage. Thanks to the digitalization of the art world, anyone who wants to can take part in an object’s history, regardless of the price tag. My heart beats as hard for a beautifully decorated mangle board from the 17th century, as a rococo mirror with original gilding. Good craftsmanship, whether on a pair of driven silver candelabras or on a Swedish Grace engraved glass bowl from Orrefors, is my guiding light” says Henrik Birkeland Åberg.

Henrik has also held a number of classes on Antique Works of Art and he is passionate about getting more people interested in centuries-old international and Swedish design history.

“We are very happy to welcome Henrik to Stockholms Auktionsverk’s growing team. Henrik has exactly everything that benefits our customers and our mission – deep object knowledge, service focus and low prestige. He is simply a brilliant resource!” says Li Pamp, CEO at Stockholms Auktionsverk.

We warmly welcome Henrik!
