E. J. BENNETT (attributed). 4 water-colours, dated 1854, c. 140x225 mm. 2 signed EJB. All with later note in pencil on cardboard "By E. J. Bennett, Baltic, Sept 1854".
Three with titles, most probably by the artist: Reval [Tallin, Estonia] seen from the anchorage off Nargen island [Nargö]; The Cruzier leaving the fleet at Ledsund Aland 10 Sept. 1854; "The off Baltic 9 May 1854...; The "Archer" off Gottland Baltic 9 May 1854.
All water-colours mounted on stiff board, 1 damaged by an envelope that has been blued to the upper part, some spotting.
Together with the leaflet: Blomstrand, F. T. Brittiska Eskadern i Östersjön. Göteborg, D. F. Bonniers förlag, 1854, with folding map, 1 folding plate (Wellington), 1 portrait of Napier, in original printed wrapper (wrapper partly worn an browned, small damage, text foxed).
