3 parts in one volume, Folio (303 x 205 mm). 20 full-page engraved plates, Illustrated with 2 engraved architectural titles, bearing oval portraits of Tasso and his patron Carlo Emanuele I, Duke of Savoy, 20 full-page engraved plates by Camillo Cungio after Bernardo Castello, engraved head and tail pieces and historiated initials throughout.
Contemporary full calf binding, worn and rubbed, some repairs, spine renovated in compartments. Title with repairs to corners, minor tears to lowermargin, small repair to inner margin. 1 plate with small tear. Some spotting and dampstaining. Second text leaf in the beginning with a repair to inner part.
Illustrated edition with 20 full-page plates after Castello. The illustrations differ significantly from Castello's in the Pavoni editions of 1590 and 1604.
