4to. (240x165 mm.). xvi, 752 pp. Title with printer's device in woodcut (Andreas Weichel), woodcut initials. Greek and Latin text in parallel columns. Last 50 leaves with Seber's notes in columns 1-184 and index 6 pp. The Latin translation made by Rudolph Walther, the elder.
Contemporary white pigskin binding over wooden boards, partly worn, split inner upper hinge, some minor worming, mostly to lower part of spine, covers richly blindstamped to a panel design of quadruple fillets, in the centre the insignia of the Society of Jesus, spine with five raised bands, remnants of label to spine, two brass clasps, lacking the lower metal catch for the lower clasp, red speckled edges. Title-page with the ownership inscription of the Jesuit College of (?) Jaroben, dated 1616. Text with some spotting and staining, mostly to margins.
First published by Aldus Manutius in Venice in 1502.
