Miniature terrestrial pocket globe in celestial case, 3 inches /6,8 cm.
Terrestrial globe with 12 with engraved hand-coloured gores. In original case of black fish skin with two brass hook-and-eyelet closures, case with silver plaque "B. Bellchamber S. King - Gul's Fox Summum Geographicum Praemium Pares Meruere".
Terrestrial globe with 2 repairs, mainly to the British isles, partly worn and some slight spotting, lacking axis metal pin; celestial with small split; case partly worn with some cracks.
Shows California as a peninsula, and the northwest coast of America as "unknown parts." The track of Admiral Anson (1740) is drawn, and the tradewinds are indicated by red arrows.
