A RARE LONGQUAN CELADON CONICAL BOWL, the sides flaring widely from the small foot, both the base and the base of the interior with a slightly pointed centre, covered overall with a glaze of soft sea-green tone except for the foot rim where the edges of the glaze are fired orange and the fine pale ware is exposed, Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279), diameter c. 14.5 cm.
PROVENANCE: A private collection from Southern Sweden. Purchased during the second half of the 20th century.
Marked with label 'Bluett & Sons, London', lot 19.
No repairs found with UV-light. Wear and firing defects. Two minor nicks c. 0.3 cm/each, mostly visible from the exterior, the areas (exterior) are a little bit polished. Please contact elisabet.fellbom@auktionsverket.se for more information.
