A FAMILLE-ROSE 'ONE HUNDRED BOYS' VASE, depicting a continuous scene of the 'Hundred Boys' celebrating the Spring Festival in a garden with a bridge, pine trees and rocks. The animated scene includes children performing a dragon dance, blowing trumpets, banging cymbals, carrying lanterns and lighting fire-crackers, the baluster body rising from a short straight foot, all between ruyi and keyfret bands, the neck with lotus strapwork, reserved on a lime-green ground, the interior of the neck glazed turquoise, the base with an iron-red seal mark reserved on a turquoise ground, Jiaqing mark and probably period (1796-1820), height c. 30 cm.
