Very worn near contemporary brown half leather, damaged faded spine with worming, loose in the hinges (another work has been taken out of the binding), red marbled edges. Lacks endpaper. Library stamps on first endpaper, title, and one more page "Bibliotheca domus prob. prov. Rom.".
Soulsby 13777. The very scarce first edition of Linnés most important contribution to historical geology.
