A JUNYAO PURPLE-SPLASHED CONICAL BOWL, covered with a rich pale blue crackled glaze, falling short of the foot rim to reveal the stoneware body and a small purple splash to the interior, together with receipt from 1959, Yuan dynasty (1279-1368), diameter 17.5 cm
PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The bowl was purchased in Stockholm 1959 from the antique dealer Hans Öström. He acquired the object from a Swedish diplomat located in China.
