Contemporary brown calf, worn, gilt oxidated borders and decorations, later straps, cracks in the joints, spine in five compartments, damages at head and foot, red edges. Up to p. 110 partly wormed. Title with old signatures. Bookplate of Roman Kaczmar on onside of lower board. Another partly damaged armorial bookplate on verso of title.
Aulus Gellius (about 130 - about 180), Roman writer. Noctes Atticae (Attican nights) deals with student life in Athens, religion, philosophy, food, literature etc.
