12:o (about 129x85 mm.). 110 engraved plates (some folding, number of plates varies, we have seen between 110 and 113, minor foxing, partly offsetting fom plates to text).
Contemporary light brown half calf, somewhat worn, faded gilt spines, vol. I small damage at head. Minor foxing. Bookplate of Gösta Nobel. And one more. 7 volumes.

One more consists of the plate volume to "Voyage pittoresque de l´Inde fait dans les années 1780-1783", title missing, with 16 double-page engraved plates. Contemporary nrown mottle calf. Bookplate of Gösta Nobel.

Provenance: Gustaf Oscar Ludvig (Gösta) Nobel (1886-1955), youngest son of Ludvig and Edla Nobel, was in Baku between 1914-17 and later took over as Managing Director over Branobel or "The Nobel Brothers Company". The oil company was founded in Baku by his father and the two brothers Alfred and Robert. He and his family had to flee Russia 1918 during the Russian revolution.
