Contemporary, but rebacked full calf, gilt spine and sprinkled edges. Damp in lower edge of preliminaries. The letter E with ink and rectangular incision with repair on title leaf. Older signatures on front board inside.
Translation by Claude Picot. The Latin original, Principia philosophiae, was published in 1644.
