Contemporary mottled calf, spine in compartments with raised bands decorated in gilt, with red morocco label lettered in gilt, red edges.
Binding partly worn, tail of spine, joints and corners neatly repaired, covers a little stained, extremities lightly rubbed and bumped, lacking first free endpaper.
Text somewhat browned and foxed throughout, with some slight marginal dampstaining, marginal tear on p. 169 in vol II, touching text but no loss. Title with signature.
Uncommon Rouen edition of this noted translation of Euclid by the French mathematician Didier (or Denis) Henrion (ca. 1580-1632), originally published in Paris in 1615 and the first French edition of the complete text.
