Folio. (25), I-137, 139-286 ll. Leaf 138 replaced with facsimile. With over 450 woodengravings in the text, 1 engraved map of Scandinavia and two printer`s woodcut devices.
Full leather binding, probably 17th century, renovated and partly worn, old covers with gilt oval middle decor mounted, spine rebacked in compartments with title (probably 18th century), damages to lower part, flyleaves renewed, partly split joints. Title with old inscription to upper margin of Collegii Paris Societatis Jesu, some leaves partly yellowed, some leaves with the yellow colour (of the edges) to some upper margins, some minor staining or spotting, small repair to upper part of leaf 239. Including the famous map of Scandinavia, here engraved and closely copied from the woodcut map used in the 1555 edition. It is based on the original map from 1537 in nine leaves.
