A CARVED THREE-LOBED TIXI LACQUER TRAY, the interior and exterior deeply carved through thick alternating layers of black and red lacquer, supported on a low shaped foot, the recessed base lacquered black with a collector´s mark in red, Ming dynasty, 16th century, c. 19 x 17 cm

Purchased in Japan 1922-1923, by the Swedish Rear Admiral Sten Ankarcrona (1861-1936).
