Small 4to (193x150 mm.). (4), 435, (1 blank), (7) pp. Lacks the engraved titlepage and 4 pages in the beginning. 1 folding engraved map of South America by A. Goos (only left half present) and 1 full-page map of the Strait of Magellan, 6 engraved 3/4-illustrations and 2 woodcut illustrations (lacking map of North America, South America only half, first illustration defect, some spotting, repairs to title and some leaves in the beginning, page 11-12 with loss of image and text due to repair, title with signature, creases ans staining, hole with small text loss to page 309-12, throughout with dampstain, mostly lower corner, some spotting, some minor worming to inner margin).
20th century half calf, gilt title on spine in compartments (Nils Linde, Göteborg).

Rare work. Althanasium Inga, a "Peruaan van Cuzco", is believed to be a fictitious author of this collection of accounts of Spanish voyages to the West Indies. Complete copies of this rare work are not easy to find.
