Contemporary brown mottled calf, partly worn, gilt edges of covers, gilt partly faded spines in six compartments, about 25 spines with damages at head and foot, red edges. Some foxing or spotting. Stamped M. Dupont Marin on halftitles and titles. Bookplate of Pehr Swartz. 124 volumes.

French translation of "An universal history from the earliest account of time," first published in 1736-1765 and later in 1747-1768.
