Engraved map showing Scandinavia with two figurative cartouches, one with the Swedish coat of arms surrounded by two lions, and a sailing ship, c. 450x553 mm. Engraved by Jodocus Hondius Jr. With new margins on the sides (size with new margins 450 x 600 mm.) Lower part of centrefold partly opened. Good impression.

Uncommon map after Veen.
Ginsberg, W.B. (Septentrionalium) #39, Ginsberg, W.B. (Scandinavia) fig.34.1. Described by Tooley as "the best map of Scandinavia up to its time". There is also a variant with the date 1632.
