II-III), 61 engraved portraits (of 66, lacks 5, about 10 with burst in the platemark, some, most marginal, foxing), 149 engraved plates (of 153, lacks last 4, 2 plates with burst in the platemark, some, most marginal, foxing).
Contemporary red full calf , somewhat worn, some mended cracks in the joints, gilt borders, gilt inner borders, gilt edges of covers, richly gilt spines with green titles, all edges gilt (probably bound by H. C. Richter, see annotation in vol. I). Some, most marginal, foxing to text. Bookplate. 3 volumes.
