Small 4to (c. 228x171 mm.). (6), (1)-247, (1 blank), (4, last blank) pp. Illustrated throughout in line and silhouette with full-page plates and decorated initials by the author. Original cloth boards and spine bound in at end.
Beautifully bound by Bayntun in full deep red morocco, upper board with coloured onlay pictorial decoration of elephant and palm tree, inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, gilt (different animals) spine in six compartments, all edges gilt. (signed Bayntun, Bath). In a somewhat worn red cloth case. First edition.
