Contemporary brown calf, somewhat worn, cracks in upper joint, gilt spine in five compartments, some damage at head, redspeckled edges. First endpaper almost loose. From the library of the Earls of Macclesfield with engraved bookplate and small blindstamp on title and the following leaf.

Apparently the first issue of the first English edition of "Céremonies funèbres de toutes les nations" (1675), translated and dedicated to Samuel Pepys by Paul Lorrain.
