Contains observations by the author made during an East India Company voyage to Canton (Guangzhou), and an account of Canton on pp. 97-168.
Lockyer sailed from London aboard the ship Streetham in 1703, arriving in Canton in August 1704, where he remained until December 1704, subsequently the Streetham made several trading voyages around the Indian Ocean befor returning to London in 1706.
