Small folio (about 272x175 mm.). (24), 1-394 (i.e. 410), (2), (2), 3-237, (1) pp. Titles and last pages with woodcut printer´s device. Some nice woodcut initials.
Contemporary blindtooled pigskin over wooden boards, somewhat worn, original brass clasps (one clasp somewhat damaged) and fittings, spine in five compartments, manuscript title in upper compartment. Some minor repair around the fittings on lower board. First endpaper with damaged lower corner. Some worming. Minor marginal dampstaining, minor foxing. Some annotations in text. Older inscription on first endpaper. Roman Kaczmar´s library stamp on inside of upper board.

Second Herwagen Edition of Homer in the original Greek being the second recension by Joachim Camerarius (1500-1574). The text is greatly improved over the first of 1535 and Camerarius was aided in editing by Jacob Micyllis.
