8:o (about 228x145 mm.). (5), 6-40 pp. 4 plates on 2 leaves "Fac-simile of Specimens of the versions of The Sacred Scriptures, in the Eastern languages" printed with metal types, 1 folding engraved map "illustrative of the Baptist missionary stations...".
Stitched in original grey printed wrappers, spine with some minor damages, entirely uncut and partly unopened.

Twenty missionary stations in Asia, "as they existed in June 1814" are described on pp. 7-21, a "brief account of the translations and printing the Scriptures at Serampore, to June 1814" is found on pp. 23-26, and "books gratuitously distributed from the Serampore printing office, from March, 1812, to April 19th, 1814" on pp. 37-38, giving numbers of copies distributed.
The printing in Chinese is described on pp. 29-30.
