Folio (450x350 mm). Printed title, 20 pochoir plates after George Valmier, printed by Jean Saudé (complete, some slight marginal soiling, 5 plates with loss of corner, some minor damages to margins, some folds, title with browning and some damages to margin.
All loose in original tan portfolio, pochoir title on front board, worn and soiled, some spotting, title faded, lacking ties. Without tissue guards. Published in 100 copies.

Art Deco portfolio with coloured pochoir plates designed by the French painter Georges Valmier. The coloured plates present multiple patterns for a particular colour scheme. These patterns served as Art Deco designs for wallpaper and textiles.

Georges Valmier (1885-1937), French artist and painter, especially influenced by Cubism. He was an early member of Abstraction-Création (Abstraction Creation, 1931-36), along with Jean Arp, Albert Gleizes, Jean Hélion, and Frantisek Kupka.
Jean Saudé was well-known for his pochoir or stencil printing.
