Folio (about 320x220 mm.). (6), 1-143 (i.e. 140), (1) ll. 3 folding woodcut plates, woodcut illustrations throughout. Woodcut printers device on title and last leaf.
Contemporary soft vellum, worn, damages in the margins, lacking ties, partly loose in the hinges, partly damaged spine with somewhat faded manuscript title. Dampstained in lower margin or lower part from ll. 125 to the end, harder from ll. 135. Some minor foxing.

First edition in Italian, translated by Galucci and adding a fifth book. The woodcuts are copied from the first edition, posthumously published at Nuremberg in 1528 as "Vier Bücher von menschlicher Proportion".
