Contemporary brown calf, worn, cracks in the joints, gilt edges of covers, on upper cover oxidated gilt noble monogram PD under earls coronet (Pontus De la Gardie), on lower cover oxidated gilt armorial coat-of-arms of the family De la Gardie, gilt somewhat faded spine in six compartments, damages at head and foot, redspeckled edges. Lacks endpaper. 2 leaves with tear in lower margin. Minor foxing. Old stamp "H. 1" in upper margin of title. Old annotation on first endpapers and inside of upper board "Ce Livre apartient a mademoiselle de Val(l)iere".
