ISLAND OF VEN - URANIENBORG. BRAUN, GEORG - HOGENBERG, FRANS. Topographia insulae Huenae in celebri porthmo regni Daniae, quem vulgo Oersunt vocant. Cologne 1586 (but later, c. 1595).
Engraved view with two cartouches, two inset views of Uranienborg, the observatory of Tycho Brahe. About 340x485 mm. German text on verso. Thin paper, centrefold with repaired tear to margin, minor spot, minor tears to margin.
From the major work Civitates orbis terrarum, which was published in 6 volumes in Cologne 1572-1618.
