Contemporary brown full leather, worn, bumped corners, cracked in the joints, defective spine, red edges. Title and last leaf partly browned, otherwise some foxing. Library stamp on title and 5th unpaginated page "Library Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland".
Philippe de La Hire (Lahire, La Hyre) 1640 - 1718, French painter, mathematician, astronomer, and architect. Mons La Hire, a mountain on the Moon, is named after him.
