8vo. Publisher´s original blue cloth, only slight wear to extremeties. Dustjacket fine, with first state blue tinting to rear panel, minor wear to some of the edges of wrapper. With Scribner´s "A" beneath copyright notice, with no mention of the Nobel Prize on dust jacket. Bookplate of Bengt Olof Kritz.

First edition of one of Hemingway´s most famous novels for which he two years later was awarded the Nobel Price in Literature and also the Pulitzer prize in 1953.
