Large 4:o (300x224 mm.). 4 engraved frontispieces after Carnicero by Selma and Juan de la Cruz (some foxing), engraved portrait of Cervantes after Castillo by Salvador y Carmona (some foxing), 31 engraved plates after Barranco, Brunette, Del Castillo, Ferro and Gil, engraved by Ballester, Barcelon, Fabregat, Gil, Mol, Muntaner, Salvador y Carmona and Selam (some foxing), 14 engraved ornamental capital letters, 22 engraved vignettes, 20 engraved culs-de lampe and a folding engraved map.
Contemporary full calf (russia), partly worn, cracks or mendings in the joints, covers with gilt borders, inner gilt panel of straight lines joined by small curved lines which enclose small sun-like tools and a small star, inner gilt dentelles, gilt edges of covers, richly gilt spines in 6 compartments, yellow edges. Some foxing. In two new marbled leatherlined cases. 4 volumes.
