4to (285x210 mm). (4), v-xv, (1), (1)-203, (1 blank), (2), iii-vii, (1), (1)-333, (1 blank) pp. 2 titles with engraved vignettes, 3 engraved headpieces, one engraved initial.
Contemporary brown mottled full calf binding, partly worn and with bumped corners, boards with the royal coat-of-arms of Louis XV, gilt borders, inner gilt dentelles and marbled doblures, partly cracks in joints, gilt spines in six compartments, minor damages at head and foot, gilt edges. Some old notes on endpaper. Titles slightly browned, some foxing or spotting.
Bernard Lépicié (1698-1755), French engraver.
Provenance: Louis XV (1710-1774), King of France from 1715 to his death.
