2 autograph letters in small 8vo, 2 pages on his stationary, and 1 typed card all signed (Richard Strauss) to John Forsell, dated 1933 and 1935 (both letters folded, one with stamp from the Royal Opera House in Stockholm).

Together with a typed invitation to a first performance of Strauss´ opera "Die Schweigsame Frau (The silent woman) in Dresden, from the Director Friedrich Theodor Paul Adolph to Forsell, signed ´Adolph´ dated June 13, 1935, (stamp from the Royal Opera House in Stockholm, folds, spotting). 4 items.

Provenance: John Forsell (1868-1941), Swedish opera singer, Director at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm between 1924-39.
