Folio (about 314x203 mm.). (96), 854, (2) pp. Title with printer´s device in woodcut, last page with printer´s device in full page (dampstained in upper outer corner, numerous woodcuts in the text. As often lacking the large folding woodcut map of Scandinavia (the map supplied in facsimile).
Later (20th century) brown half leather, marbled boards, spine in four compartments, title lettered in gold, lower edge with the authors name in manuscript. From about p. 500 dampstained in upper outer corner and upper part of outer margin, harder at end. Some other minor dampstaining. Some minor foxing.

Edition 9, first edition printed in Basel on latin, reprint (word for word) of the first Rome edition of 1555, but with some amendments. Lacking the woodcut map. According to Collijn, the latin edition of Petri has supposedly been printed without the woodcut map, but the map has afterwards been inserted in some copies.
