Contemporary full calf pink binding, blindtooled decor of flowers and abstract elements, spine with blindtooled decor and title in compartments with seven raised bands, yellow, white and yellow edges, blue inner doblures, red first free endpaper (spine faded [=light brown], some spots and minor wear). Black cloth case with handwritten title on spine, partly faded and soiled. Bookplate of the binder (as a flyleaf bound in).
Olof Degerstedt MdE (1908-80) studied 1930-31 at the University of Fine Arts (Landeskunstschule) in Hamburg where his teacher was the well-known Franz Weisse. He was later head of the famous bindery at Nordiska Bokhandeln, Stockholm, from 1947 until 1977 when they closed down. (Mästarband 1630-1980, printed 1980).
