Plate number 1959. + Sinfonia eroica composta per ... un grand´uomo ... dedicata a ... il Principe di Lobkowitz (Op. 55). Partizione. Bonn e Colonia (N. Simrock) no date (about 1820). Plate number 1973.

Large 8vo (250x160 mm). Title, 162, title, 1 leaf, 231 pp. All engraved. Both titles with traces of pink wrapper, foxed corners, some spotting and soiling, Sinfonia Eroica with some dampstains to inner margin, last leaf larger stain.
Contemporary brown half calf, gilt spine, marbled paper covers. Signature on inside of cover Ad. F. Lindblad (Adolf Fredrik Lindblad, Swedish composer).

First German editions of the full scores. They were first published in London in 1808 and 1809.
Beethoven´s Second Symphonie was premiered in Vienna on April 5 in 1803, and was conducted by Beethoven himself. The Eroica or the third symphony was composed in 1804 and was originally dedicated to Napoleon, but he changed this after Napoleon declared himself emperor.
