Folio (352x260 mm). Colour lithographed title-page, 99 lithographed plates of playing cards, a few of them in colour (complete, some minor spotting and soliling, 1 plate ('Le Fou') with blue ink spot to margin, text with slight spotting, flyleaf with dampstain and some creases).
Modern blue marbled later boards with dark blue calf spine in compartments, gilt tile, untrimmed, upper edge gilt. Bookplate.

First edition, limited issue. One of 132 copies.
