(1)-24 (printed title missing as often, upper wrapper to a fascicule as title) pp. Lithograph extra title, 98 mostly tinted lithograph plates (lacks 2 plates, throughout with large dampstain to outer and lower margins, some slight foxing, a few minor tears, a few plates loose, text with some foxing, also with dampstain not affecting text).
Original liliac cloth with spine in leather, gilt title on cover, worn and soiled.

Carl Johan Billmark (1804-70), Swedish landscape painter, artist, lithographer. He left Sweden in 1833 and lived in Paris where he studied under Deroy. Billmark travelled to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and later published studies in this famous work, "A Journey from Stockholm to Naples".
