A SMALL LONGQUAN CELADON BOWL, the bowl is potted with rounded sides rising from the small tapered foot, it is covered overall with a glaze of soft blue-green tone except for the edge of the foot rim where the pale grey ware has burnt orange in the firing, the rim with metal mount, marked with label "Max Robertsson", Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279), diameter c. 9 cm
PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The bowl was purchased by Nydell in Stockholm 1965, earlier in the collection of Max Robertsson.
