A RARE MOULDED DINGYAO DISH, with shallow rounded sides and an everted rim, rising from a recessed flat base, crisply moulded to the centre with a leafy stem issuing blossoming camellia sprays and pomegranates, encircled in the well by a continuous foliate scroll, covered inside and out with a creamy-white glaze, marked with label ´Bluett & Sons, London´, Jin dynasty, 12th century, diameter c. 13.5 cm
PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). The dish was purchased from ´Bluett and Sons´, 1960 in London.
