Description
A MUGHAL-STYLE SPINACH-GREEN JADE BOX AND COVER, of shallow compressed form, the top of the cover is finely carved in low relief with an open chrysantemum flower surrounded by a meander border, the box is raised on a short foot. The stone is of a rich dark green tone with darker and paler flecks, 19th century, diameter c. 9 cm
PROVENANCE:
From a private Swedish collection, purchased during the early 20th century.
