A LONGQUAN CELADON BOWL, the bowl is potted with rounded sides rising from a small ring foot to a finger-grooved mouth, with a small boss in the center of the interior, covered overall with a widely crackled glaze of soft green tone, Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279), diameter c. 11 cm
PROVENANCE:
From the collection of the Principal Sture Nydell (1891-1986) and his wife, Valborg Nydell (1905-2003). Purchased at Aspenäs mansion in 1959, from the collection of Major Tellander. Earlier in the collection of the Swedish explorer Eric Mjöberg.
