A Pair of Celadon-Glazed Dishes, each with gently rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, covered overall in a pale celadon glaze thinning at the rim, the base left white, Jiaqing seal mark and period (1796-1820), diameter c. 19.5 cm, minor firing defects
PROVENANCE:
Purchased c. 1900 by Gustaf and Annie Wallenberg, during the period when Gustaf Wallenberg (1863-1937) was a diplomat in China and Japan. Thence by descent.
