The use of decorative inlaid panels and furniture was popular during the Qing dynasty, especially during the periods of Yongzheng and Qianlong. Many feature hardstone, ivory or wood elements carved in the form of archaic vessels, scholar's objects, antiques, flowers, fruits and vegetables.
