A 'JIZHOU' SLIP-DECORATED 'PRUNUS' BOWL, its wide well painted with a flowering prunus branch beneath a crescent moon in buff colored slip against a dark chocolate brown ground slip that extends onto the exterior walls, stopping unevenly above the foot, Southern Song/Yuan dynasty, 12/13th century, height c. 5.5, diameter c. 11.5 cm.
PROVENANCE:
The collection of Nils Palmgren (1890-1955).
A private collection from Southern Sweden. Purchased during the second half of the 20th century.
