A MOULDED QINGBAI 'PHOENIX' BOWL, with deep rounded sides, the interior well moulded with two confronting phoenix amidst a band of foliage and large combed peony blossoms, all under a transparent glaze of pale blue tone, Song dynasty (960-1279), diameter c. 18 cm.
PROVENANCE: A private collection from Southern Sweden. Purchased during the second half of the 20th century.
No repairs found with UV-light. Wear and firing defects. One nick/firing defect at the rim c. 1 cm. Please contact elisabet.fellbom@auktionsverket.se for more information.
