A glazed terracotta roof tile depicting the female Taoist Immortal He Xiangu, with her fly whisk over one shoulder. She is said to have the power to improve mental and physical health, and is the patron of women, mounted in a wood stand. Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Height of the figure c. 30 cm, total height c. 35 cm.

The collection of the managing director Ivan Traugott (1871-1957), and thence by descent.
