SARASATE, PABLO DE. Autograph letter signed (ALS), in French, to (Swedish publisher Abr. Lundquist, dated 3/1 -78, 1 page in 8vo, 9 lines and signature.
Verso also a draft of a letter to Lundquist, by another hand, in French and dated in Christiania, Norway. Folded once.
Pablo de Sarasate (1844-1908), Spanish violinist, composer and conductor. Among his best known works are Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs), the Spanish Dances, and the Carmen Fantasy.

Provenance: Nils Grevillius (1893-1970), Swedish conductor and violinist. Amongst others he was the first conductor at the Royal Swedish Opera and conducted regularly there from 1922 to 1953.
