RÖNTGEN (ROENTGEN), WILHELM CONRAD (1845-1923, recieved the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901). Collection of 6documents illustrating the daily life of Röntgen; amongst others the original tenancy agreement between Prince Alfons and Röntgen (signed "Dr. W. C. Röntgen K. Geh. Rath") in München; 1 autograph letter by Colonel Reitzenstein to Röntgen, a notification by court secretary Fetzer concerning a lightning strike and the request from Mrs. Röntgen to check the cables.
Consists of 6 documents and letters, Munich 1905-1919, all in German:
Röntgen's tenancy agreement (Miet-Vertrag), dated München, 1 Juli 1905. 3 partly printed pages (last page Haus-Ordnung). In folio (c. 333x210 mm.). Vertical fold, a few small tears, minor loss to upper margin, not affecting text.
Together with 5 other documents concerning Röntgen's tenancy in Munich. Various sizes (c. 160x205 mm - 330x230 mm. 3 with vertical folds, some creases, some minor tears.
