NIDER (JOHANNES). Incipit Manuale confessorum. Venerabilis/ magistri Johannis Nider sacre theologie pro-/fessoris ordinis predicatorum. No place, printer or date (probably Cologne about 1479-1481)
Small 4:o (about 204 x 143 mm.). 76 leaves, 26 lines/27 lines, gothic letter, paginated in a contemporary hand. With intials in red and many contemporary notes in the margins and on the last endpaper, a few maniculas.
Modern 20th century brown partly worn full calf binding with gilt title and year on upper board and spine, spine in six compartments (Bindery Otto von Schoultz, Göteborg), Some worming to text, but mostly marginal, some slight foxing and spotting, second to last leaf reinforced to inner margin later.
Not in Hain, BMC, or GW. The setting of the title differs, as well as the text on leaf 75 recto, compared with other copies
Provenance: Adolf Lagerfelt (1897-1967), Vice-consul in the Middle East. His large library was at the manor of Säbylund, Sweden.
